ORDER OF PUBLICATION

It being made to appear in the above
cause from the complaint that the
names and whereabouts of some of
the Defendants are unknown at the
present time, after Plaintiff has made
a diligent search and inquiry as to the
same, and it is now ordered that the
said unknown Defendants appear in
this Court and answer, plead or
demur to the complaint in this cause
before the 2nd day of April, 2018, or
thereafter, having failed to do so at
the expiration of thirty (30) days from
said date, a default be taken against
them; and it is further ordered that
the Clerk of this Court have this order
published with as little delay as may
be in the Clarke County Democrat, a
newspaper published in Clarke
County, Alabama, once a week for
four (4) consecutive weeks, and further that within twenty (20) days from
the making of this Order, the Clerk
post a copy of this order at the door
of the Courthouse of this County.

Sealed bids will be received by the
Director of Transportation at the office
of the Alabama Department of Transportation, Montgomery, Alabama until
10:00 AM on February 23, 2018 and
at that time publicly opened for constructing the Planing, Resurfacing,
Drainage Inlet Repair, and Traffic
Stripe on SR-13 (US-43) from the
Tombigbee River Bridge to 0.210
mile north of the junction of CR-10
(Walker Springs Road) in Jackson.
Length 5.272 mi.

The total amount of uncompleted
work under contract to a contractor
must not exceed the amount of his or
her qualification certificate.
The Entire Project Shall Be Completed In Fifty (55) Working Days. A
3% DBE Contract Obligation Is Required. A Bidding Proposal may be purchased for $5.00. Plans may be purchased for $9.00 per set. Plans and
Proposals are available at the Alabama Department of Transportation,

108, Montgomery, AL 36110. Checks
should be made payable to the Alabama Department of Transportation.
Plans and Proposals will be mailed
only upon receipt of remittance. No
refunds will be made.

Minimum wage rates for this project have been pre-determined by the
Secretary of Labor and are set forth
in the advertised specifications. This
project is subject to the contract work
hours and Safety Standards Act and
its implementing regulations.
Cashier's check or bid bond for
5% of bid (maximum - $50,000.00)
made payable to the Alabama Department of Transportation must accompany each bid as evidence of
good faith.

The bracket range is shown only
to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project's
complexity and size. This Bracket
should not be used in preparing a
bid, nor will this bracket have any
bearing on the decision to award this
contract.

The proposed work shall be performed in conformity with the rules
and regulations for carrying out the
Federal Highway Act.

regulations of The Alabama Department of Transportation, proposals will

INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT

The Town of Grove Hill, Alabama
(the “Town”) owns real property on
U.S. Highway 84 East that it proposes be used for commercial/industrial development. Carter
Enterprises, LLC (“Carter”) proposes
to locate a service and sales facility
for its operations on a portion of the
Town’s property and to also develop
or attract additional support and complimentary business operations
thereon. The Town is considering a
sale of 10.15 acres of such property
to Carter at a price of $7,500.00 per
acre for its operations. The Town is
further considering making improvements to the entrance to the road into
its property which would also serve
the Carter site. The cost of such improvements is projected to be less
than $20,000.00.
The proposed sale and expenditure of public funds for this commercial/ industrial project will provide
economic and other public benefits
in the creation of jobs, sales tax revenues and the enhancement of the
economic growth of the Town. The
proposed sale and expenditure of
funds by the Town will also directly
benefit Carter.
The Town Council of the Town of
Grove Hill, Alabama, will consider the
property sale and road improvements at its next public meeting to be
held on Monday, March 5, 2018, at
5:30 p.m. at Town Hall in Grove Hill,
Alabama. Any interested person is
invited to attend such meeting and
express their views.
