Default having been made in the
payment of the indebtedness secured by that certain mortgage executed by Michael D. McIntyre and
Brenda M. McIntyre, husband and
wife, originally in favor of Regions
Bank d/b/a Regions Mortgage, on
the 10th day of August, 2007, said
mortgage recorded in the Office of
the Judge of Probate of Clarke

INVITATION TO BID
RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
CLARKE COUNTY, ALABAMA
AUGUST 14, 2018
Clarke County Alabama (the
“County”) is soliciting sealed written
bids to select a Contractor to provide collection and disposal of Residential and Commercial Refuse in
the unincorporated areas of the
County as described in the Invitation
to Bid, Contract Documents and
Specifications and Instructions to
Bidders. Any Contractor selected
shall be the sole and exclusive collector or Residential and Commercial Refuse under the Contract for
the unincorporated areas of the
County.
Sealed bids will be received by
the County until 8:30 A.M. CDT on
Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at
the office of the County Administrator, as specified in the Invitation to
Bid. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held for interested
parties at 9:00 A.M. CDT on Friday,
August 31, 2018, in the Commissioner’s Courtroom at the Clarke
County Courthouse at 114 Court
Street, Grove Hill, Alabama 36451.
The Invitation to Bid includes this
Advertisement and Public Notice,
Contract Documents and General
Specifications, Instructions to Bidders and attachments, and the Bid
Form, which are on file and open to
public inspection in the County Administrator’s Office at the Clarke
County Courthouse, 114 Court
Street (P.O. box 548), Grove Hill, Alabama, 36451.
The initial contract period shall
be three (3) years beginning November 1, 2018, and ending October 31, 2021; the contract period
may be renewed or extended for
additional one (1) year terms by mutual consent, provided that the
terms for any renewal contract are
not materially changed from the
original contract.
The County reserves the right to
reject any or all bids, wave any irregularities and/or informalities in
any bid and to make an award in
any manner consistent with law and
in the best interests of the County.
A bid bond or certified check in
the amount of $10,000.00 must accompany all bids. A performance
and payment bond shall be required
for any successful bidder, along with
a Certificate of Insurance, all as set
forth in the Instructions to Bidders.
The successful bidder shall be required to pay the County an Initial
Contract Fee as defined in the General Specifications as a part of the
Contract.
All bidders should submit one
original and two (2) copies of its bid.
Bids must be submitted in a sealed
envelope or box plainly marked
“Clarke County Bid for Residential
and Commercial Solid Waste Collection and Disposal” and submitted

until 10:00 AM on August 31,
2018 and at that time publicly
opened for constructing the Front
Slope Repair (Washout) at a point
0.320 mile southwest of the junction
of CR-15 in Jackson. Length 0.037
mi.
The total amount of uncompleted
work under contract to a contractor
must not exceed the amount of his
or her qualification certificate.
The Entire Project Shall Be Completed In Forty (40) Working Days.
A Bidding Proposal may be purchased for $5.00. Plans may be
purchased for $9.00 per set. Plans
and Proposals are available at the
Alabama Department of Transportation, 1409 Coliseum Boulevard, Room E-108, Montgomery, AL
36110. Checks should be made
payable to the Alabama Department
of Transportation. Plans and Proposals will be mailed only upon receipt of remittance. No refunds will
be made.
Cashier's check or bid bond for

5% of bid (maximum - $50,000.00)
made payable to the Alabama Department of Transportation must accompany each bid as evidence of
good faith.
The bracket range is shown only
to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding
companies concerning the project's
complexity and size. This Bracket
should not be used in preparing a
bid, nor will this bracket have any
bearing on the decision to award
this contract.
The Bracket Estimate On This
Project Is From $251,186 To
$307,005 .
Plans and Specifications are on
file in Room E-108 of the Alabama
Department of Transportation at
Montgomery, Alabama 36110.
In accordance with the rules and
regulations of The Alabama Department of Transportation, proposals
will be issued only to prequalified
contractors or their authorized representatives, upon requests that are

received before 10 AM., on the day
previous to the day of opening of
bids.
The bidder's proposal must be
submitted on the complete original
proposal furnished him or her by the
Alabama Department of Transportation. Section 34-8-8. Code of Alabama 1975 as amended states in
part as follows: '... it will be necessary for him or her to show evidence
of license before his or her bid is
considered,' Further, Section 34-8-
8, Code of Alabama 1975 as
amended also states in part as follows: 'All Owners, Architects, and
engineers receiving bids pursuant
to this chapter shall require the person, firm, or corporation to include
his or her current license number on
the bid.'
The right to reject any or all bids
is reserved.
