Jamie Lee Blackledge, 36, of Jena, LA died July 24, 2013.

He was born Sept. 3, 1976. He was a former resident of St. Stephens. He served in Iraq and attained the rank of Warrant Officer I. He was formerly employed as a civil service employee with the Army National Guard as a maintenance technician at the Jackson Armory.

Survivors include three children, Devin Blackledge, Taylor Blackledge, Micah Blackledge, all of Jackson; three brothers, Michael Blackledge, Leroy, Brian Blackledge, Wagarville, Jay Robinson, Ellisville, MS; parents, Bobby and Ketty Blackledge, St. Stephens, Allison Walters Blackledge, Leland, MS; numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be Friday, July 26 from 6 until 9 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. The service will be Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephens Baptist Church with Bro. John Smith officiating. He will lie in state for our hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the St. Stephens Baptist Cemetery.
