Bernice Barkley Agee, 84, of Dixons Mills died Dec. 7, 2017 at her residence.

She was born Dec. 17, 1932 in Marengo County to Ulmer and Helen Barkley. She was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four daughters, Katherine Crow, Thomasville, Linda Grant, Sweet Water, Debbie (Sammy) Rivers, Long Beach, Miss., Synthia Tucker, Helena; three brothers, Woodie Hill, Orange Vale, Calif., Clyde Hill, Demopolis, Terry Hill, Linden, one sister Carolyn Gibbs, Linden; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lelon Etheridge and Edward Agee.

The service was Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lister Hill and Brett Green officiating. Burial was at Beaver Creek Cemetery in Sweet Water.

Active pallbearers were Tuffy Atkins, Randall Cave, Allen Dailey, Rube Lewis, Thad Palmer, Doug Smith, Will Stebbins and Trent Webb.
