Pearlie Mae Savage Chapman, 84, a native of Wilcox and resident of Leroy, transitioned from this life on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile.

She was born on March 4, 1933 to Isaiah Sr. and Lela Powe Savage. She was a faithful member of Grace Temple Apostolic Church in Leroy. She loved attending church when she was able. Pearlie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and just a wonderful person.

Left to cherish her memories are three daughters, Carolyn R. Hamby, Birmingham, Lela (Clifford) Johnson, Winn and Oletha (Sabino) Jordan, Leroy; four sons, Sherman J. Ridgeway, Leroy, Jimmie L. Ivory, Theodore, Louis Jr. (Xamaira) Koins, Crestview, Fla., and Alphonza (JoAnn) Koins, Danville; one brother, Isaiah (Annie Pearl) Savage, Dothan; with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Lewis Ridgeway Sr., Louis E. Koins Sr. and Samuel Chapman Sr.; sons Willie D. Mobley and Louis Ridgeway Jr.; and granddaughter, Sondresha L. Koins.

The service was Feb. 28 at Grace Temple Apostolic Church in Leroy with Rev. Thomas E. Jackson, pastor, as the officiating minister. Interment followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery of Leroy.
